“There must be more to life than this!” If you catch yourself saying this often, chances are you are not living your God-given purpose.

The world is full of people who feel stuck in jobs that they hate. Anyone who has dropped their kids off at a daycare center staffed by teachers who originally dreamed of becoming actresses, hair salon owners or doctors, or stood across from a grocery checker who clearly wanted to be anywhere but serving customers knows that the results aren’t pretty. Others have impressive careers that provide big incomes but leave them empty and unfulfilled at the end of each busy day.

Some might respond to their stories of disillusionment with, "You aren't supposed to enjoy your job. That's why they call it work." The truth is we were created to find fulfillment in work. Each of us was designed by God with a purpose. Once we find, develop, and live that purpose out we experience joy and a sense that we are doing what we were born to do. Instead of dragging ourselves out of bed for work each morning, we look forward to one more day of living the dream.
